Productivity Enhancement for New Value Creation

We are developers and operators of a web-based platform linking professional conference interpreters to their clients in the IR (investor relations) realm. The platform is unique in that it is a private network that ensures both security and assurance. Under protocols administered by us, users are linked only to those clients they wish to work with. We view our platform as an important tool that supports the efforts of both clients and interpreters.

The advantages of the platform are numerous. For interpreters, the platform allows for automated scheduling, automated schedule blocking, circumvention of double-booking risk, easy communication/ data exchange by mandate, and the creation of a comprehensive real-time mandate schedule all in one location.

 

For clients who use the services of interpreters, the platform allows for easy confirmation of interpreter availability, immediate on-line reservations, easy communication and data exchange by mandate, sharing of mandate status information by team members, and simplified administration where a multitude of mandates and interpreters exist.

 

We think the platform is a powerful administrative tool for both client and interpreter. We think it could serve an important infrastructural role going forward. As infrastructure, the platform could be vital in collating industry data that could be shared and be of benefit to clients, interpreters, and all relevant stakeholders.

The Interpreter Reservation Platform

The interpreter reservation platform we operate is called RDP-01. It is a wholly private network consisting of professional conference interpreters and their clients. Because of our focus on IR to date, the client base consists entirely of investment banks. We see the platform as a simple tool to enhance the efficiency of the administrative aspect of interpreter arrangements. Based on the large number of improvements suggested by clients and interpreters, we are currently developing a 2nd generation version. We plan launch in November. Timed with that, we hope to work with the industry as a whole to pursue new possibilities. The name of the new system is RDP Bingo.

 

All clients and interpreters are administered by Red Dog Planet. Clients and interpreters with unique login addresses/ passwords are linked in the network, Interpreters, however, are able to pick and choose which clients they wish to work with.

The reservation process begins with the client conducting a search for available interpreters based on date/time and other mandate criteria (client is not able to view interpreter schedules). The client makes a selection from a list of available interpreters and places a booking request via the [Request] function. The mandate will automatically appear on the client’s reservation screen as a [Pending] item. If the mandate is accepted by the interpreter, the mandate will appear as [Accepted] to denote confirmation of the mandate.

 

An interpreter receiving a request will firstly receive an email alert. The requested interpreter will log on to the platform and either [Accept] or [Decline] the mandate via the push of a button. All accepted mandates will appear automatically on the interpreter’s comprehensive schedule which prevents, barring a cancellation, booking of other mandates on the same date/time. Client/interpreter communication can be conducted via a “chat” function specific to each particular mandate.
